VIKING RING - VEGVISIR JORMUNGANDR
Vegvisir literally means "that which shows the way" and is often referred to as the Viking compass. It is believed that the Vegvisir symbol helps the wearer find their way, especially in harsh weather conditions. The symbol is mentioned in the Huld Manuscript, compiled by Geir Vigfusson.
The name "Vegvisir" comes from the Icelandic words Vegur, meaning "way," and Visir, meaning "pointer" or "signpost." Therefore, Vegvisir literally translates to "wayfinder," symbolising a guide through life’s journey and challenges.
This handcrafted Viking ring features the Vegvisir symbol alongside the powerful image of Jormungandr, the World Serpent, representing both guidance and the strength to overcome challenges. The ring captures the balance between protection and the unstoppable force of nature.
