VIKING RING - GOLDEN AEGISHJALMUR RAVENS

The raven is one of the most commonly featured animals in Viking culture. The two most famous are Hugin and Munin, Odin's ravens. It was said that they would fly over Midgard and relay information to the Allfather.

The names roughly translate from Old Norse; Hugin means "thought" and Munin means "memory." This suggests a deeper connection between them and Odin, as they acted as his eyes and ears across the realms.

Aegishjalmur is a symbol of protection and victory. The word "Aegishjalmur" is derived from two different Old Norse words: "aegis," meaning "shield," and "hjalmr," meaning "helm."

Viking warriors would carve this symbol between their eyebrows to protect themselves from their enemies as they headed into battle. However, the symbol provided more than just "physical protection."
