VIKING NECKLACE - VALHALLA AXE WITH WOLVES AND RAVENS

Wolves were a common presence in Norse artefacts and sagas, often symbolising different meanings. Fenrir, one of the central figures in these tales, was the son of Loki and Angrboða. It was foretold that he would break free from his chains, devour the sun and the moon, and ultimately slay Odin during the battle of Ragnarök.

There were also other wolves in Norse mythology, some of which were not seen as malevolent. Odin was often depicted with two wolves, named "Geri" and "Freki." These loyal companions accompanied him in battle and roamed by his side.

Ravens also played a significant role in Viking culture. The two most renowned ravens are Hugin and Munin, Odin's messengers. They were said to soar over Midgard, gathering intelligence for the Allfather.

Their names, translated from Old Norse, mean "Thought" (Hugin) and "Memory" (Munin), highlighting their deep connection to Odin and their roles as his eyes and ears across the realms.
