VIKING NECKLACE - VEGVISIR AXE
The Vegvisir, often referred to as the Viking Compass, literally means "that which shows the way." It is believed that the Vegvisir symbol helps the wearer find their way, particularly in harsh conditions or rough weather. The Vegvisir is mentioned in the Huld Manuscript, compiled by Geir Vigfusson, and has long been regarded as a powerful guide for those navigating life's challenges. Derived from the Icelandic words "Vegur" (meaning "way") and "Visir" (meaning "signpost"), Vegvisir literally translates to "wayfinder."
The inclusion of the axe design in this necklace further enhances the symbolism, representing the strength and courage of a warrior. The axe is a tool of power and protection, adding an extra layer of meaning to the Vegvisir symbol.
