VIKING NECKLACE - VALKNUT WOLF
Wolves held a significant place in Norse artifacts and mythology, often embodying varying meanings. Fenrir, the son of Loki and Angrboða, is one of the most prominent wolf figures in the myths. It was prophesied that he would break free from the chains that bound him, swallow the sun and the moon, and ultimately devour Odin during the battle of Ragnarök.
However, not all wolves in Norse mythology were viewed as evil. Odin was often depicted with his loyal wolves, Geri and Freki, who accompanied him in battle and shared a strong bond with their master. The addition of the Valknut, or Wotan Knot, further enriches this design, symbolising the welcome of fallen warriors into Valhalla by Odin himself. Together, the wolf and Valknut reflect the warrior spirit, loyalty, and the connection between life, death, and fate.
