VIKING NECKLACE - HUGIN & MUNIN
The Valknut, also known as the Knot of the Slain or Odin’s Knot, is one of the most enigmatic symbols in Norse mythology. Its name is derived from the Old Norse words "valr," meaning "slain warrior," and "knut," meaning "knot."
This symbol is often found on burial sites, leading to the interpretation that Odin welcomes fallen warriors into Valhalla.
The raven is one of the most prominent animals in Viking culture. The two most famous ravens are Hugin and Munin, Odin's trusted companions. They were said to fly over Midgard, gathering information for the Allfather.
Their names, roughly translated from Old Norse, mean "Thought" (Hugin) and "Memory" (Munin), signifying their profound connection to Odin and their role as his eyes and ears across the realms.
