THOR AND JORMUNGAND WOOD CARVING STATUE
Honor your favourite Norse gods and goddesses with this amazingly detailed statue!
This special Viking figure depicts Thor in battle with Jormungand and is ideal for your altar, home décor, or simply to have Thor by your side!
Jormungand, or Iormungand, was a monstrous sea serpent, the child of Loki and the giantess Angrboda. During Ragnarök, Jormungand will create a gigantic tidal wave by rising from the sea to fight alongside the giants against the Aesir, particularly Thor. Thor will succeed in defeating him, but he will take no more than nine steps before collapsing, fatally struck by the venom that the serpent has inflicted upon him.
The statue is made from beautiful ash wood, is very detailed, and has a good weight. It makes a great gift for anyone interested in Norse mythology.
